Our U14 boys hosted Newbridge for their second game of the season. It proved to be a very difficult contest as we came up against a strong and well-drilled side who set the tempo early on.
Despite our best efforts, we struggled to find our rhythm , and Newbridge took full advantage, keeping us under pressure for much of the game.
However, the boys showed real character and resilience. In the final 15 minutes, they lifted their intensity, played with greater confidence, and began to put Newbridge under pressure. This late surge showed what the group is capable of when they work together and back themselves. They were rewarded for their efforts with a try from Bradley Cooper. The conversion was taken Jack Mc Donnald (C) who had the distance but veered slighty to the left . MOTM today was Michael Owens for his work rate around the field.
While the result didn’t go our way, there are plenty of positives to take forward, especially from that strong finish. The effort and spirit shown at the end will give us something to build on as the season continues.
Training Tues & Thur at 18:45, new members always welcome
