An internal development game was held between the U14 and U13 squads to focus on building skills, tactics, and on-field decision making. It provided both teams with much-needed game time and match experience.
The game began with a strong emphasis on Attack and Defence, allowing each side to play through their set moves and apply what they’ve been working on in training. The U13s came out with real intent, surprising the U14s with their spirit, determination, and excellent tackling. Their hard work was rewarded with an early try, showing great promise and teamwork.
In the final 30 minutes, the match opened up, and once the U14s found a way through the defensive line, they began to dominate the scoreboard. The u14s settled down and focused on their set plays, moving the ball quickly and despite the result, the U13s showed tremendous heart and skill — a clear sign that this group will be a force to reckon with in the future.
A very worthwhile and positive game for both squads, helping to develop confidence, game awareness, and team cohesion across the age groups.
